Sub sole nihil novi est

Long gone days by Mad Season*
Even though I havent completely recovered from my recent trip to Karachi I had to resume work someday, which was yesterday . I finally got a hold of some decent rock music videos which Ive been searching for and plugged them into yesterdays show, so I felt good about promoting those 'lost rock bands' from Pakistan. It was kind of a weird day to be honest, though the best part was that I got to meet my father who stopped by home on his way to Karachi from Canada. He showed me pix of the newest member of our family, Billy the kid (my nephew), cute lil rascal.

Anyway, work got really really tiring, luckily 'the dot' was with me to keep me awake while driving all the way from work till home (its like a 20 min drive - but cuz of traffic it took us about an hour, some minor accidents slowed us down to snail speed). Once home, we dropped dead for about 3 hours. By the time we got up, all fresh and ready to face the world...we realized that the world was past its bedtime and most places (coffee houses, restaurants etc etc..) were already closed. Nevertheless, my sis who was sitting at home doing a whole lot of nothing suggested this Jungle cafe (which is pretty amazing actually, and no its not called 'jungle cafe' but it sure looks like one) which was still open, so we chilled out there.

So it was almost 1:29 am. Me, my sis and the dot were almost gonna call it a nite when we stumbled upon a pretty silly conversation at that point...what are we all going to do for new years? UFFFFFFF !!! I dont even know what we'll be doing on Eid or Christmas and here we're talking about new years. So I guess I'll be taking another vacation by the end of the year cuz theres noway I wanna stick around in the city.

Chalo Im gonna get some bedtime, Its pretty early in the morning and I gotta get up a lil later for work. Hoping for something exciting to happen today.
