High Fives and Shishi's at Velvet Cafe

Its been a while, and I must admit I was away having a blast with a freind of mine who flew down from khi for 10 days. Frankly speaking, it seemed she wasnt the only one on vacation. The past 10-11 days were some of the most fun Ive had all year. Its 4pm and the weather outside today is breezy and wet....somethin we dont get in the city alot. Im feeling kinda forlorn today, but i guess its just the whole "i miss my freind" feeling kicking in. Morning jogs, Shisha joints, Shopping sprees & lots and lots of food was the agenda over the past week or so. Some of the best times were the late nite bonding sessions to the crazy carnival rides, with the picturesque view from Jebal Hafeet (A high mountain about an hour n half away from Dubai) being the highlite of the week. Just to sit at the edge of the mountain (considering my vertigo problem) so close to the clounds, waiting to catch the glimpse of the first ray of light in the morning, it was all too supernatural..like a moment out of a dream catching up to reality. God sure has his ways to impress us. The drive back however became a pain, the A/C konked off the car so we drove with our windows half way down, reality just kicked back in (heh heh).
After everything said and done, I really felt like going to karachi. Its amazing how living my whole life in Dubai I tend to miss karachi so much.
Clearly its not the place..its the people.
Peace.
