lunch break.....LOL !!

Greetings heavenly creatures

Youre about to read on of the 'pendu-est' things ahead but its worth the laugh...I called up the Feline goddess the other day, y'know one of my special overseas occasional phone calls, and so I dialed the number and waited to the sound of her cell ringing. She picks up and for some ridiculously silly reason I ask her;

me: so are you on a lunch break?
(completely oblivious as to 'the holy month')
she: uhhhh....dude..its ramzan
(and so began the utter feeling of me being 'not-so-smart' and 'a complete pendu')

LOL, But we had a good laugh at it and joked around a bit just before ending the call. The thing was stuck in my head the whole day, "so are you on a lunch break?"....uff god why me? heh heh.
In other news, another freind asked me about why I wear this necklace around my neck 24-7, well heres the reason. Its a tooth of a Tiger Shark (or Galeocerdo cuvier), which in early 2005 was considered the second most dangerous shark in open waters. This shark is a solitary hunter, usually hunting at night. The tooth signifies the strength, speed & power of this amazing animal which kinda instigates me when I feel I'm gonna go through a rough moment (kinda like a good luck charm, but I hate calling it that). It was gifted to me almost 4 years ago and I keep wearing it ever since regularly + it looks pretty neat too since Im not into gold & silver. So thats that. Blog laterzz..

Peace,
K

Im lovin it...

Hey ya'll,

Well...not in a great mood...but not in a bad one either...more like a naughty wicked one. heh heh. No reason for it so Im guessing thats it time for my medictaion. However, two similar nice things happened today. Two friends of mine confided in me for somethin that they had a tuff time expressing to other people. Ya you know who you are. But it felt nice that they told me and shared with me. What was even better was the fact that I felt in someway that me talkin to them made them feel better :-). So it was a good moment. Apart from that the holy month is tommorow and Im gettin like a million sms's sayin "lets celebrate ramzan together" or "happy ramzan mubarak".......Helloooooooooooooo whats wrong with you people...its a holy month...theres nothin to celebrate or be happy about. Its a spritual thing. Uff sometimes perception can be sooooo decieving. Anyways...nuthin spl happenin except my music...hope it kicks off soon. Till then, Ciao.

I remember...

Hey reader,

Hows it goin? ....me...I couldnt be in a better mood today :) . Nothin great or special happened in the eyes of any normal person today, but in my world, in the world of 'foo'...we created magic. No, not the magic that youve learnt, not the magic you see on tv. Im talkin about the real thing, to create somethine out of nothing. And this is the kinda magic that touches the hearts and souls of alot of people. Me and Randy (the guitarist for my band) got together for a jam, which turned out to be somethin else alltogether. Now being a songwriter theres a one in a hundred chance of actually writing a good song hand in hand with an amazing piece of music. We jammed a couple of songs (with KV - this other guitarist freind of mine) and then Randy played this tune and said 'dude, whaddya think'. I heard it for the first time and instatnly spoke 'lets record this...lets do this' (my personal self created quote). KV left the jam but me and Randy worked on that tune for approx. 8 straight hours. I wrote the words, Randy did the music and at about 4:40 am, we completed a demo for "remember" (as we call it) and couldnt be any happier. I know it sounds like Im bragging but the song literally goes a lil deep in words and music. Since I know that the only person who reads my blogs is the goddess, I wish you were here to hear it,Im sure you'd like it. Anyways, hopefully you'll hear it next time I'm down. Till next time.

Ciao,
K.

Peccatum tacituritatis - the sin of silence

Well well well......'the dot' finally decided to speak to me. He'd been in a transition which kinda got to him really bad. Cant blame him, hes human too. But Im glad things are getting back to normal.
Oh finally, praise the lord...I have no idea what mood I was in when this happened but Im glad it did. Yesterday, I just happened to whiz past by the City centre and I went into 3 different shops when I thought to myself..."holy crap, this is good stuff and I need to buy it", ( I so sound like a woman right now) but I was in the mood to spend, (bet if I had a girlfreind she'd take advantage of the oppourtunity). So firstly I went to the greatest store on mother earth 'virgin megastore'...now I know I could easily download all the music I want but being a musician myself (even though from Pak) I didnt wanna go against the system. So again, the first thing I picked up was the double cd P.U.L.S.E. record by floyd (a definate must have for any musician), the other cd was the greatest hits of Whitesnake (thank you tanseer). Moving on from virgin. Went to this new shop called 'pairs' and saw this amazing black ring with a tiny yin yan logo on it, yup Im wearin it right now. PIcked up these two shirts later from Studio R, guys would love this place, its got a mix of brands specially surf/beach wear. lastly I picked up this black beenie from Zara.So yeh, even I could shop babes. So this was pretty much what I did yesterday, the rest of the week I got a lil busy with work. But Im moving at a steady speed now....need to go apartment hunting soon. Anyways people, if you guys get a chance do check out Audioslaves new album 'revelations' as well as Evanesances new album 'the open door' both are wicked. And ofcourse (you) need to still get 'two days in february' by goo goo dolls.

peace to the people,
K

Mushroom & Swiss xxl Meal + Apple pie

Probably the best meal on mother earth right now. God bless Burger King.

Went to the graveyard today. Someone had past away and as I helped carry the body till its destination, I never felt so close to God as I did standing next to the grave. It was a moment of silence, except for the mutawa's prayer, everything else was dead silent. exactly the right phrase...dead. As I was exiting the graveyard, another freind past by saying "hey bro, my wife delivered a baby boy last week", I felt alotta joy at the moment. But as I drove home later that night, I realized the irony of how life and death are so closely knit, how everything in life is inter-related and kriss kross. One thought led to another and before you know it, I was thinking of all the possible ironies of my life. But chillax, dont wanna write it all down in the blog. My prayers go out to the dead and those born into this world of crazy phenomenon.
Also later that night, 'the dot' who I didnt meet the whole day got a lil emotional over a method of communication. Relax bro, Im not that crazy to let go off freinships ;) - As for our dramaybaaz Anarkali, well we finally spoke, yes yes...sounds like another filmy waali baath. Bridges will burn, Oceans will dry out and the sky will trun red before I treat my freinds like shit so kool down ppl. Im here to stay, I aint runnin anywhere. Anyway, the doorbell just rang and I presume my BK meal is here...Im gonna go hog so peace out.

Sub sole nihil novi est

Long gone days by Mad Season*
Even though I havent completely recovered from my recent trip to Karachi I had to resume work someday, which was yesterday . I finally got a hold of some decent rock music videos which Ive been searching for and plugged them into yesterdays show, so I felt good about promoting those 'lost rock bands' from Pakistan. It was kind of a weird day to be honest, though the best part was that I got to meet my father who stopped by home on his way to Karachi from Canada. He showed me pix of the newest member of our family, Billy the kid (my nephew), cute lil rascal.

Anyway, work got really really tiring, luckily 'the dot' was with me to keep me awake while driving all the way from work till home (its like a 20 min drive - but cuz of traffic it took us about an hour, some minor accidents slowed us down to snail speed). Once home, we dropped dead for about 3 hours. By the time we got up, all fresh and ready to face the world...we realized that the world was past its bedtime and most places (coffee houses, restaurants etc etc..) were already closed. Nevertheless, my sis who was sitting at home doing a whole lot of nothing suggested this Jungle cafe (which is pretty amazing actually, and no its not called 'jungle cafe' but it sure looks like one) which was still open, so we chilled out there.

So it was almost 1:29 am. Me, my sis and the dot were almost gonna call it a nite when we stumbled upon a pretty silly conversation at that point...what are we all going to do for new years? UFFFFFFF !!! I dont even know what we'll be doing on Eid or Christmas and here we're talking about new years. So I guess I'll be taking another vacation by the end of the year cuz theres noway I wanna stick around in the city.

Chalo Im gonna get some bedtime, Its pretty early in the morning and I gotta get up a lil later for work. Hoping for something exciting to happen today.
